I'm going back to Sage Creek High School, and this time I'm taking the right trail --on the other side of the school.  It's at the end of College, not Cannon, although the two streets do meet; but on the other side where Cannon commences

This is a wide and, as shown here, muddy path
xxx

xxxLooking back at the entrance, which includes a locked gate to keep vehicles out
xxx

xxxWouldn't have shot this if not for the clouds
xx
.........
xxxxxx

On the left, Calavera Mountain
Don't plan on going to the top, today
xxx
....
Aha, Pluto,  the "planet" that was too far down this trail to get to previously
xxx
......

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxAgain, looking back towards the entrancexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxA storage container??  It was where a trail also goes off to the right
xxx

xxxxxxx
xxx

And Neptune
Not sure if I got to this one previously
xx

And a pond --as an obstacle on the path leading to the Lake's dam
I'm not taking this path, but saw this water from the path I am taking, so just checking it out

xxxAnd it appears to be connected with a stream that runs parallel to the main path...
and ends at this pond
xxx

Housing off of College Blvd...seemingly called Calavera Hills
xx
.....
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx........The pond obstacle doesn't deter this young woman
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..To me, this rock stepping looked a little tricky
xx
......
Then this young boy came along and had no problem traversing the rocks
Then again, he also had his bike to lean on and keep his balance
xx
..........
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxThis is the right side "rocky" uphill path I'm takingxxxxxxx.....From the top looking back on the Dam path
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.Looks like the same kid with the bicycle
xxx

xxxxLooks like they're hurrying to meet me (they're off to the left)

xxxxxOr rushing to see who's taking their picture --and Why
But they were going the other way
xxx

Aha, that water tank again
Can I get up to it today?  It looks like it's quite a distance
xxC
.......
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxContinuing on the same path xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxThat's the path at the top of the incline (left photo)
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..xxI'm trying to find access to the water tank..................As can be seen, there was another path to the left
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..This one leads up to the lake and the mountain

xxx

Calavera Mountain
......

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxThe path continues...going southeast, I thinkxxxxxxxxxxx..........I spot this couple coming down...looks kinda steep
xx
........
xxxxxxxxNot sure where they're going...but they suddenly disappeared!!xxxxxxxxxxI made it to the tank, and this one last rather steep and long road up to it

.........

xxxxxxxxIt's fenced off, but there's a path on this side of it...which doesn't go round to the other sidexxxxxxxxxxxx................So, the view from the top

There's that snow-capped Palomar Mountain again
xx

And over to the right looking South
xx

The mobile park is actually quite a distance away
xxx

Becoming a familiar view

Whew, I walked quite a ways --so far
There's another water tank on the other side
xxx

Yep, all locked up and bared-wired

Hey there, someone on top of the volcanic Calavera Mountain

....
Not a path I was on...or going to take
xxx
.....
Looking back on the last bit of path I took before the road to the tank
xxx

I guess he guards the tank

..........
An Asian couple and then a couple of Hispanic guys pass me
This is the same path I took
I wasn't sure which way I could approach the tank...but guess I chose the right path

.....
xxxx

I was trying to make it look like on was on Pluto
Should have cast my shadow over some of it
xxxx

Thinking I might be able to shoot some school action, I quickly discovered
that the trail is well below it
xx
.....
A backward glance...and someone to animate the shot
xxx

xxxxxx

Wow, look at the backup on Cannon all wanting to turn left onto College

xxxAha, I see that one of the turn lanes is closed

There's my car
I would have to squeeze my way into this massive lineup to turn onto College
But quickly realize I can just continue straight up the road next to the school, make a u-turn (over a double-yellow)
and then make a right onto College...behind about four cars
xxx
You'd think more left turners would do this, but they probably don't realize there's a closed lane
Still, you'd think more drivers would get the idea...but these commuters are probably used to this backup
There's only a left turn possible, so the light is probably Green for an extended time
Or is this true, cause the right turn lane I was in got the green light pretty quickly...just lucky, I guess
As it is, there's only one open lane on College for about a block --due to roadwork
